Director of Manufacturing Engineering

Foster Lawson are exclusively partnered with a $200M Medical Manufacturing company who are looking to add to their Manufacturing Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be based in the Bay-Area and have extensive experience in a regulated manufacturing industry with a proven track record of leading, strategizing, and executing engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train manufacturing staff to deliver targets on on-time deliverables.
• Formulate, develop and lead strategic manufacturing and engineering strategies ensuring they align with the company standards.
• Champion objectives focused on costs, safety, delivery and performance.
• Oversee technical budgets, project budgets, and business unit budgets by allocating resources appropriately to each department.
• Successfully work alongside business development to aid product development and launch by providing technical insight into engineering and manufacturing operations.
• lead manufacturing and assembly activities by resolving ad hoc problems, developing appropriate tooling to improve product consistency.
• Assist purchasing and Quality to assess suppliers' capabilities and resolve technical issues regarding received components, materials and services.
• Establish quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with members of management, production operators, technicians, and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leadership experience
• 10+ years medical manufacturing experience
